The 81st Golden Globe Awards introduced two new categories, “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement” and “Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television,” while also featuring the Barbenheimer phenomenon and the stunning outfits of celebrities.
Cillian Murphy won Best Actor for Best Performance in a Motion Picture in a Drama for his outstanding portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer in Oppenheimer, while Lily Gladstone took home the Best Actress award for her role as Mollie Burkhart in Killers of the Flower Moon.
The winners and presenters at the 83rd Golden Globes were gifted with a $500,000 gift bag, which included extravagant items such as yacht charters, private jet credits, and other exclusive experiences.
Despite occasional blunders during the grandiose event, such as stand-up comedian Jo Koy being labeled “the worst host ever” at the 2024 Golden Globes, there were also many memorable moments taking place backstage and at afterparties.
