The photographer revealed that as a pilot, he quickly realized the unique perspective that he had of the world and nature around him. He then started attempting to capture some of the incredible phenomena he witnessed on every flight. Although storms were a particularly challenging subject to capture, he persisted until he developed a technique to capture these extraordinary events.
