A photographer named Joseph Ford and a knitting professional named Nina Dodd have teamed up to create custom-made jumpers that blend seamlessly into their surroundings. They have dedicated countless hours to create these bespoke garments for humans, animals, and even bananas. The jumpers are designed to match the patterns and colors of their surroundings, from bus seats to bushes, carpets to coastlines.
Ford shared with The Independent that he loves the challenge of finding suitable locations and models, and then working with Dodd’s knitting skills to blend them as seamlessly as possible. Each photo in this series has taken him several days or weeks to plan and research, while Dodd spends weeks and sometimes months knitting for each one.
