It’s been three years since the launch of the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones, and Google has released the latest software update at the end of its three – year term.
This update, which includes 2020 December security patches, does not include the Feature Drop update that was recently introduced for new Pixel phones, including the Pixel 3.
According to Google’s update policy, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones launched in October 2017 will not receive updates after October 2020, but the late November update will be available this way.
In this way, Google had planned to provide software updates for the Pixel and Pixel XL models, which received the latest update last year, for an additional year by 2019, but it seems that this will not be the case for Pixel 2 owners.
