Do you ever find yourself reminiscing about the good old days when time seemed to stand still and the world was your playground, waiting to be explored? As we grow older, daily routines and responsibilities can take over, leaving little time for adventure. This can be disheartening, especially if you believe that life inevitably declines after a certain age. Fortunately, there are individuals out there proving us wrong and demonstrating that age is simply a number as long as you maintain a youthful spirit.
Grandma Joy, 93, embarked on the adventure of a lifetime
Her grandson Brad decided to take her on a grand road trip and visit every single one of the US’ 63 national parks
Joy had lived a peaceful life in a serene town in Ohio, where she had dedicated herself to raising her family with her late husband Bob. Joy took great joy in seeing her children and grandchildren thriving, often putting her own desires and aspirations on the back burner. She had never had the chance to witness the majesty of mountains, the vastness of the ocean, or the beauty of the desert.
Their quest began in October 2015 and since then the pair has traveled over 50,000 miles
However, since setting off on her journey in 2015, Joy has had the opportunity to witness numerous natural wonders and has even become a social media sensation with a whopping 86K followers. Who wouldn’t be inspired by a grandma living life to the fullest, reminding us that age is just a number?
Being in her 90s doesn’t stop Joy from exploring. Her childlike wonder inspires many other people
Can you believe it? Grandma Joy has done it! She has made history by becoming the oldest person ever to visit every single national park. She embarked on a grand adventure and had the time of her life. She went water rafting, zip-lined, slept in a tent, and even saw alligators! I can only imagine how much fun she had. I wonder how Brad, her grandson, managed to keep up with his adventurous grandma. He must have had quite the experience travelling with her.
